I received N. Ceylon as a gift twenty years ago — and have loved it ever since.

Very jolly… cherry yellow, except for laughing orange around the cup. And these stems stand tall, despite storms and gusts.

Ceylon is an Irish flower, first tended by Mr. J. Lionel Richardson. This is his second-most popular, edged out by Salome. Close behind are Tahiti, Bantry, and Gay Tabor.

Ceylon does well in the open woods, but poorly in tall grass. It multiplies fast enough in the proper conditions… but I wish it grew faster.

Enduring color and form approaching 80 years — Ceylon!
